Engineering Judgment Portfolio
AI-forward engineering leader who stayed hands-on and used a sabbatical as an AI-era builder lab: high building velocity, varied repositories, and real judgment about product, platform, metadata, reliability, and agentic workflows.
Current Focus
I’m focused on AI-forward engineering leadership: teams, systems, and products where judgment matters as much as output. I’m pursuing a full-time technical EM or player-coach role, and I’m simultaneously building — SaaS products, advisory engagements, and tooling around AI adoption, platform architecture, and engineering operating systems. The building is how I stay sharp, not a distraction from the search.
What This Is
This is a portfolio of engineering judgment, not a gallery of polished outputs.
Most portfolios show what shipped. This one shows what I noticed, what I rejected, what risks I accepted, what broke or could break, and what changed because I was involved. The artifacts here are decisions with consequences attached.
What I’m Good At
Turning ambiguous product and platform problems into working systems and durable engineering practices.
I operate across product thinking, platform architecture, metadata design, reliability, and agentic AI workflows. I’ve done this at scale (Stitch Fix pre-IPO, ezCater) and at speed (100+ repositories during a focused sabbatical). I stay close to the code, even as a senior engineering manager.
What to Inspect
- Judgment Artifacts — Decisions I made, the risks I accepted, and what changed.
- Build Lab — Curated projects from my AI-era sabbatical with explanation artifacts.
- Leadership Evidence — How I've built teams, managed remotely, and stayed technically proximate.
- Fit Notes — Candid notes on where I work best and where I don't.
